The International scientific and practical conference of“Ecological culture and environmental protection: IV Dorofeev readings” was held by Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, the Belarusian partner of GZNU, in Vitebsk, Republic of Belarus, on November 29, 2024.

At the invitation of the Conference Committee and VSU, more than 30 GZNU experts in the fields of life science, geography and environmental sciences and water resources attended the Conference. Dr. Yi Yin, as a member of the Conference Committee gave the opening address, while Dr. Xiao Shizhen, Dr. Ying Bin and Dr Li Kun presented their reports in the panel session.

Experts from Belarus, Russia and China gathered at the Conference for the discussion on biological and environmental issues such as: biological and landscape diversity, biology and ecology of invasive species, ecological geology, environmental management and the role of local history in the formation of ecological culture.

It is reported, the Conference was supported by prestigious research institutes and centers in Belarus, Russia and China, with their experts invited as members of the program committee. VSU and GZNU have established friendly ties since 2017 and last year both sides joined in the China-Belarus Universities Association as partner institutions.
