A Russian delegation of I. Ya. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University (CSPU), led by the university president Dr. Kozhanov Igor, visited GZNU on the morning of November 29, 2024. The 3-member delegation also includes the Executive Secretary of the University Admissions Committee and Head of the Educational and Methodological Department, Dr. Vasileva Larisa, and the Head of the Department of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies, Dr. Aleksandrova Galina. GZNU president Dr. Zhang Shaodong and vice president Dr. Yi Yin had a meeting with Russian guests, representatives from GZNU departments of teachers’ affairs, international affairs, School of Graduate Education, and School of Foreign Languages also attended.

Dr. Zhang gave a welcome speech at the beginning of the meeting and briefed the university history and ongoing international collaborative programs. He expressed his gratitude to the long-term support and assistance from CSPU by reviewing the fruitful cooperation of both sides. “It is the concerted efforts of both universities that allow us to keep making progress.” He stressed.

Dr. Kozhanov gave an introduction to CSPU and highly appreciated GZNU’s Chinese Language Center in Chuvash State and the work of its staff. He hoped cooperation between the two universities could be expanded into Arts, Sports and Pedagogy to enhance the friendship and mutual trust.

The delegation visited the School of Foreign Languages and gave a speech on the Admission to CSPU for nearly one hundred Russian language majored students in the afternoon.
