Over 600 GZNU students attended the Magallanes World Study Tour(MWST)3.0, an activity held by Tunku Abdul Rahman University, Malaysia, via online platforms between November 15 and December 4, 2024.
The study tour consists of 8 stations, supported by UTAR’s global partners such as Manchester Metropolitan University, the U.K., FH Münster University of Applied Sciences, Germany, University of Ottawa, Canada, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, Malaysia, and Beijing Jiaotong University, China. Staff from the international offices and experts on environment from each university presented inspiring and professional reports on the theme of“Discover Urban Nature: Step into a Sustainable Future”at each station.
The tour contributes to the understanding of students on different city cultures and how to build a more sustainable future in humans’ development. It also broadens the global vision of students, particularly in ecological conservation.
It is reported, the Magallanes World Study Tour(MWST)was initiated in 2021 with the purpose of offering an opportunity to the global young people to know the world and different cultures, traditions and languages. This year has been the third time for GZNU students to engage in the activity which has enhanced the friendship of universities and helped students to reach for difference.
