International General Education Curriculum (IGEC) Program

Designed and promoted by Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) of the Ministry of Education, PRC, IGEC (International General Education Curriculum) is a program approved by Guizhou Provincial Department of Education and Introduced by Guizhou Normal University. It aims to make use of international high-quality educational resources to improve the quality of talent training. The program offers intensive English training courses, general courses and professional courses. In the first 2 years, students should take intensive English training, complete the study of international general courses and some professional basic courses at Guizhou Normal University. With qualified scores and foreign language scores, students who meet the requirements of foreign cooperative universities can apply to go to foreign cooperative universities to complete the study of follow-up professional courses in the last two years. The credits of foreign cooperative universities and Guizhou Normal University are mutually recognized. Students will be obtained the graduation & degree certificate awarded by foreign universities after completing the required credits and meeting the graduation conditions. Students who do not study abroad in the last two years can continue their study in Guizhou Normal University. Those who have completed the follow-up courses and meet the credits and teaching requirements specified by the university will obtain the graduation certificate and degree certificate of Guizhou Normal University. At present, the program has two majors: Tourism Management & Marketing.
