Course Description:
Taking Chinese culture and national conditions as the main thread, this course covers multiple dimensions including cultural products, concepts, and behaviors. It encompasses both traditional Chinese culture and customs as well as modern social life, striving to present a three-dimensional and authentic image of China. By selecting representative cultural themes such as festivals and folk customs, food culture, residential life, and tea and wine culture, the course aims to help learners deepen their understanding of Chinese culture and enhance their ability to perceive contemporary China.
Course Content:
Centered on the theme of “Chinese Culture and Modern Life”, the course is divided into four modules:
l Module 1 “Festivals and Folk Customs” mainly introduces traditional Chinese festival culture and folk customs.
l Module 2 “Social Life” starts from the perspective of daily life and explores the changes in social lifestyles such as language communication, travel modes, and consumption habits.
l Module 3 “Food Culture” focuses on tea culture, wine culture, and distinctive Chinese dietary patterns, allowing learners to experience the spirit of Chinese food culture.
l Module 4 “China-Foreign Exchange” showcases the dissemination, exchange, and influence of Chinese civilization in history through two core themes: the Silk Road and Chinese character culture.
