Universiti Teknologi Malaysia(UTM), one of the top 5 universities in Malaysia, has been well-known both in and outside of Malay Archipelago. Seven years ago, the Board of Director Daro’IR. Low Keng Kok visited Guizhou Normal University(GZNU) and signed a cooperative agreement after his one-day trip.

On April 26, deputy director Dr. Qian Yifei of Office of International Exchange and Cooperation at GZNU had a pleasant meeting with his UTM counterpart Prof. Dr. Nor Haniza Sarmin. Both teams of International relations attended as well.

As the last meeting was held in 2014, both sides reintroduced their universities and referred to their new development over recent years. Qian proposed the most desiring programs to cooperate including exchanges in faculty and students and cooperation in research.

Dr. Sarmin agreed to carry out more academic programs and expand global networks for both sides, hoping both teams work faster to sign agreements and implement joint programs. More details were also discussed between the attendees.

The meeting on Tuesday boosted understanding and communication between UTM and GZNU, and also severed as a solid foundation for further pragmatic cooperation.
