2020 is the thirteenth year of China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, and the online lecture jointly organized by Guizhou Normal University (GZNU) and University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) was held on December 8, 2020 in Huaxi campus of GZNU. This lecture was co-organized by the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation of GZNU. Professor Li Rong from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering gave a lecture to teachers and students from Guizhou Normal University, University Tunku Abdul Rahman and Xingyi Normal University for Nationalities.

The topic of the lecture was "Mechanical Engineering: Digital Design and Simulation Engineering".Professor Li Rong started from the meaning of design, explained the role of digital design and simulation in engineering practice in combination with reality, and showed to the students the transformation of digital construction in the development of the entire modern mechanical engineering industry, the construction of offline popular digital factories and the application prospects of digital development of mechanical design in serving the country's economic construction. In the Q &A section, students from three universities put forward their own thoughts around the topic of the lecture, and received answers from Professor Li.

Against the backdrop of the Covid-19 epidemic, GZNU and UTAR explored new ways of cooperation by conducting online lectures jointly, thus expanding both academics recognition at home and abroad. Next, GZNU will also invite experts in the field of mechanical and electrical engineering from UTAR to have lectures via video link. The two universities have decided to deepen practical cooperation through more exchanges down the road.
