Headed by Prof. Kaye Chon, Dean and Chair Professor of School of Hotel & Tourism Management, the delegation from PolyU visited GZNU on the morning of 17 March, 2016.

Accompanied by Mr. Zheng Weijun, deputy dean of Office of Administrative Committee in Huaxi University Town, the delegates met Prof. Lin Kun, deputy dean of School of International Tourism & Culture and Liao Xu, program officer of International Exchange Section, Office of International Exchange & Cooperation, and looked around students’ training classrooms for Guizhou cultural-heritage (embroidery) skills and batik skills and design studios at School of International Tourism & Culture. Prof. Lin introduced the ethnic handcrafts, their required manual skills as well as their culture. Both parties are interested in a further cooperation with each other.

Note: Established in 1937,the Hong Kong Polytechnic University is one of the oldest public universities in Hong Kong with high academic ranks in both Asian region and the world. And its School of Hotel and Tourism Management was ranked 2nd according to the World Ranking of Top 100 Hospitality and Tourism Programs byJournal of Hospitality & Tourism Research (Nov 2009 issue) .

Headed by Prof. Kaye Chon, Dean and Chair Professor of School of Hotel & Tourism Management, PolyU, the School delegation from PolyU visited School of International Tourism & Culture, GZNU on the morning of 17 March, 2016.

Accompanied by Mr. Zheng Weijun, dupty dean of Offic of Admisstrative Committee in Huaxi University Town, the delegates met Prof. Lin Kun, dupty dean of School of International Tourism & Culture and Liao Xu, clerk from Office of International Exchange & Cooperation, and looked around students’ traning classrooms for Guizhou cultural-heritage (embroidery) skills and batik skills and design studios. Prof. Lin introduced the ethnic handcrafs, its required manual skills as well as its culture, which surprised the Hong Kong guests and interested in a further cooperation between schools.
