On November 3, a delegation led by Dr. Rebecca Day, Director of the Global Partnerships Office at the University of West London, UK, paid an exchange visit to Guizhou Normal University. Liu Jin, Vice President of GZNU, attended the meeting. Heads of relevant schools and units participated in the discussion.

On behalf of the university, Liu Jin extended a warm welcome to Dr. Rebecca Day and her delegation, and briefly introduced Guizhou Normal University's educational features, development orientation, international exchanges and cooperation, as well as international joint education programs. She noted that the university attaches great importance to international exchange and cooperation. Taking this visit by the University of West London as an opportunity, GZNU expects to further enhance mutual trust, tap into cooperation potential, and explore more avenues for collaboration in joint talent training, faculty and student exchanges, international research cooperation, and the upgrading of international education programs. It aims to deliver the benefits of bilateral cooperation to more faculty and students and achieve complementary advantages and win-win outcomes.

Dr. Rebecca Day gave an overview of the University of West London and its history. She pointed out that founded in 1860, the University of West London is a modern university with a profound heritage, which has established extensive partnerships with many higher education institutions worldwide. She expressed the hope that this visit would help her gain a deeper understanding of Guizhou Normal University and identify more opportunities for cooperation.

At the meeting, both sides held in-depth discussions on faculty and student exchange programs, joint research, and the organization of online and offline exchange activities.

During the visit, the delegation also visited the School of Music, the School of International Education, the School of Fine Arts, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and other schools, and held discussions with relevant persons in charge.
