On November 29, 2021, at the invitation of Tongren Polytechnic College, the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation of Guizhou Normal University participated in the memorial event. It was jointly organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of Guizhou Province and the Consulate General of Laos in Changsha, and undertaken by Tongren Polytechnic College. Many delegates including members of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Mayor of Tongren City People’s Government Yang Yun attended the meeting. And many schools including The Asia-Africa Research and Training Center of the UNESCO Vocational Education Program and Guizhou Normal University participated in the event.

It is reported that this event took the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Laos as an opportunity, focusing on the overview, difficulties, opportunities and challenges of China-ASEAN vocational education exchanges and cooperation. This event also discussed the “Belt and Road Initiative” vocational education and talent training, national and regional research Issues related to ASEAN vocational education research. The aim is to expand the areas of education and humanities exchanges and cooperation between Guizhou and Laos, deepen the connotation and level of cooperation, promote international cooperation and cultural exchanges with China-ASEAN vocational education and jointly promote vocational education in China and ASEAN countries to a higher level of quality development.
