Xiao welcomed the delegation and thanked I.Y. YCSPU’s continued efforts and supports in mutual cooperation over the past 5 years, highly appreciating the positive resultsyielded in the‘Chinese Language Study Center’, established in I.Y. YCSPU by both universities since 2015 to promote the learning of Chinese language and culture in the local university and city.

Both parties are old friends and good partners, Xiao said, and theexchange programs between two universities have contributed much to deeper cooperative ties and Sino-Russia culturalcommunication.

Iilna Svetlana introduced the currentsituation of the‘Chinese Language Study Center’ and highly praised its positive influence on promoting Chinese culture to the locals. I.Y.YCSPU also hoped to build a‘Russian Language Study Center’ in GZNU to deepen mutual relations onthe basis of friendly cooperation.

Noting that the‘Russian Language Study Center’ will enhance the study of both countries’ languages and cultures, increase the two universities’ partnership and boost much more practical cooperation serving for students and faculties, Vice president Zhao Shouying said GZNU would be willing to worktogether with I.Y.YCSPU on improving the cooperative mechanism and problem-solving effectiveness and jointly building the two language centers or facilitating other possible programs.

Mutual heads of relative departments and schools also attended the meeting to discuss new joint programs and the problems of existing ones.
