As the spring semester kicked off, a welcome meeting was held by Office of International Exchange andCooperation(OIEC) to celebrate new exchange students’ coming at Baoshan Campus onMarch14, 2019.

All exchange students and the teachers of Office of International Exchange andCooperation: Pei Jun, the director and Chen Yuexi, the section chief of InternationalExchange attended the meeting.

Pei expressed her sincere welcome and greetings to the new faces from Russia and Thailand, encouraging them to enjoy the local culture and traditions as a way of improving their Chinese language. Closer communications with teachers and students in Guizhou NormalUniversity would enable them to be friendly and culturalmessengers between universities and countries. Chen Yuexi provided useful tips for students’ safety in and off campus.

This short meet with teachers warmed our foreign exchange students, well increased their understanding of international exchange programs and their sense of belonging in GNZU. It is also a perfect opportunity for the Russian and Thai students to get acquainted with the Korean students.
